Weichert Real Estate School First in New Jersey to Offer Auction Course

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. - Weichert, Realtors®, one of the nation’s largest
privately held real estate companies, announced it will now offer a real estate
auction course through the Weichert Real Estate School. Weichert is the first real estate school in New Jersey to offer the
newly-developed class, titled “Introduction to Real Estate Auction.”
Developed
by the Auction Department of the National Association of REALTORS®,
“Introduction to Real Estate Auction” has been designed specifically for real
estate professionals who are interested in introducing real estate auction to
their sellers and buyers and working effectively in an auction
environment. The course is not intended
to certify or accredit real estate professionals to be auctioneers, but
students who wish to pursue a career as an auctioneer should note that this
course counts as the first day of the six day National Association of
Auctioneers (NAA) Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate (AARE) designation.

found that residential real estate auction grew more than 46 percent from 2004
to 2007. In 2007, the real estate
auction market as a whole generated more than $58.4 billion in sales.
